Raymond James hires senior investment banker Gary Denning
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James is expanding its Investment Banking capabilities with the addition of Gary Denning, who joins as vice chairman in the Diversified Industrials group. Denning will primarily work with the Chemicals & Specialty Materials practice, where he will leverage his global experience and act as a meaningful point of connection between the U.S. practice and our growing European chemicals business. He brings more than 30 years of experience advising chemicals, building products and packaging companies on M&A, capital raising and restructuring transactions.

Based in Atlanta, Denning joins Raymond James after eight years as a consultant. He previously held investment banking roles at Chase Manhattan, Bear Stearns and Houlihan Lokey, and he served in a senior corporate development role at Axiall Corporation, where he was responsible for multiple divestitures. He has also served on the boards of five private chemical and building product companies. Denning earned an MBA from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
